The amount the pitch is raised depends on how far the string is bent. Bending allows for smooth transitions between notes, often mimicking the human voice, and can be used to create tension, emphasize certain notes, or add a soulful touch to your playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types of String Bends<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several types of string bends, each serving a different musical purpose.
